Do you think illegal downloading of media/software is ok? Why or why not?

Alright, I need some help here. Im doing a comprehensive research paper using first hand sources. I could use some cooperations here. THIS IS NOT AN ADMISSION OF GUILT! I'm not a cop or an authority figure of any kind and have no prosecuting powers. Now, with that said, in addition to your answer to the question, if you could PLEASE PROVIDE ME WITH YOUR APPROXIMATE AGE AND YOUR GENDER, it would help me narrow my research and divide up responses based on male/female and older/younger.
