On B&B - Why do all the kids(especially sons) have to "be there" for their moms?

All the years I've been watching the B&B, the only strong parents were/is Stephanie and Taylor. BTW: Where's Stephanie lately??? You're right about the others though, go figure. Brooke always gets her way and that frustrates me. I know she's the star of the show, but still give us a break already. It really does seem to be the opposite of real life. Well, only the writers know, maybe they mirror their own life. Good question.
